I initially joined PEIDevs in January of 2015 after attending their hackathon where I created GTA VI. After about a year of attending meetings, Bob Shand suggested we work on a talk together: he would create some websites with security flaws, and I would attempt to hack into them. Bob unfortunately was not able to follow through due to busyness with work but I soldiered ahead and presented by myself.
I cannot bear to watch this video. It’s clear I’m very nervous and I can’t help but be self critical of the knowledge and presentation skills of 16 year old me. I’m nevertheless proud for putting myself out there, and the opportunities I was exposed to as a result of connecting with PEIDevs are countless.
