Projects From A Past Life

When I was in middle school and high school I was quite a prolific developer. Having no real responsibilities other than doing your homework leaves you with an abundance of free time. I first taught myself how to program when I was 12 because I wanted to make mods for a Super Mario Brothers/Portal fan-game. At around 15 I started learning websites because I was impressed by my friend Sam who built websites in his spare time.

I learned a lot by teaching myself how to program and I look back on all the projects I worked on with so much fondness. Neverthelesss, I have buried them in this part of the website because they are not reflective of my current abilities. These projects were built before I knew anything about code quality and my goal was always simply to build the most interesting thing I could in the fastest way possible.

You can click here to see some of what I worked on as a teenager. The projects include games, websites, mods, and my International Baccalaureate Extended Essay on beating CAPTCHAs.
